A Photographic Tour of Life in Second Life. This is a Second Life gallery, with 250 screenshots (89 html pages) giving a gamut of Second Life. Aside from the aspect of a glimps of a computer game, i give the ethonology perspective. Namely, given a virtual world, what can we learn about human animal behavior by observing or reading the statistics of what people do in it. Also, it serves as a survey from the computing technology aspect. Namely, by looking at these screenshots, you get a glimpse of the state of the art of virtual world, and can think about its impinging impact in society. Included there is a 3D-construction tutorial and LSL scripting tutorial. (this project started in Jan 2007)

Another major undertaking, is: Introduction to 3D Graphics Programing. This project is started in 2006 December, and currently has 15 HTML pages.

This periodic, is bent on to inform the informed, and educate the educated, of all things and social things and anthropological things you could not care less. Could you?

Note: it may be offensive to many readers.

Massive update of my Great Math Programs page. This page has been dorminant since about 1998. Before that, i have surveyed all math programs on the Mac as much as one can. But then i joined the dot com and got busy with headaches and sleeplessness and money. Now i'm temporary out of dot com and had a opportunity to check out the math programs out there again, including those for Windows. Some 10 or 10 programs has been added, with some 10 or so inline screenshots. This massive update will continue in the next weeks.

I took a trip to Asia from 2003 Jan to 2003 April. Joined the Conference for Visual Geometery at Tokyo. (website is under construction), and taught graduate math students Mathematica programing in Taiwan. See Taiwan's National Center for Theoretical Science site http://math.cts.nthu.edu.tw/~xlee/index.html and Martin Guest's mirror at http://tmugs.math.metro-u.ac.jp/g-cts/index.html.

I created the Unix Pestilence site sometimes late 2002. Update it much in 2003-05

have a historical and recreational value.

… this what's new page is often not up to date.
I only fill it when i thought about it.

2002-01-25
