詩意 (Shiyi), a beautiful, poetic song, and the lyrics is also quite funny.

蕭孋珠 《诗意》 Poetic Yearning

Title: 詩意 (from movie “一簾幽夢” (1974)). Singer: 蕭孋珠. Lyrics: 琼瑶. Music: 刘家昌. Translation: 李杀 (Xah Lee).

一个女孩 名叫诗意
心中有无数秘密
因为世上 难逢知己
她必须寻寻觅觅
她以为她 脸上没有 露出痕迹
在她的脸上 早已经写着 孤寂
a girl by the name of Shiyi
full of yearning
a true friend is hard to find
she tries hard
she thinks she can keep her secret
without a trace
but loneliness is written on her face

Note, 詩意 (Shiyi) literally means “poetic” and “meaning; intentions”. In the context of the lyrics, it could be translated as “poetic yearning”. 詩意 is also a pun, homonym to 失意, meaning “despondency”. This is a theme song from a movie 一簾幽夢 (Dream Links), about a girl who is lovelorn.

▲1:=
我有一帘幽梦,
不知与谁能共。
多少秘密在其中,
欲诉无人能懂。

窗外更深露重,
今夜落花成冢。
春来春去俱无踪,
徒留一帘幽梦。

谁能解我情衷,
谁将柔情深种。
若能相知又相逢,
共此一帘幽梦。

Here's the full poem, some verses are not sung.

我有一帘幽梦,
不知与谁能共。
多少秘密在其中,
欲诉无人能懂。

窗外更深露重,
窗内闲愁难送。
多少心事寄无从,
化作一帘幽梦。

昨宵风疏雨动,
今夜落花成冢。
春来春去俱无踪,
徒留一帘幽梦。

谁能解我情衷,
谁将柔情深种。
若能相知又相逢,
共此一帘幽梦。
I have a dream of pearly curtain,
I don't know who i shall marry.
So many secrets behind the curtain,
Who would understand me.

It's foggy late at night,
its' hard to rid myself of worries.
who should i tell them to?
They become a dream behind a pearly curtain.

it's raining and windy last night,
tonight the flowers piled up like a grave.
…
…

who could understand my love,
who could give me the love i need.
if i could meet a true friend,
and share the dream behind the curtain.

The English translation is from the movie subtitle. It's rather bluntly literal, and all is lost.

(zhǒng) = 坟墓. Burial mound, mausoleum. Etymology: Phono-semantic compound (形聲): semantic 勹 (“wrap”) + phonetic 豖 -- wrapped in a burial shroud. Top component now simplified to 冖.

(zhōng) = 内心. Inner feelings. Heart, from bottom of one's heart. Etymology: Phono-semantic compound (形聲): semantic 衣 (“clothes”) + phonetic 中.

Listen to the pouring rain
Listen to it pour,
And with every drop of rain
You know I love you more

Let it rain all night long,
Let my love for you go strong,
As long as we're together
Who cares about the weather?

Listen to the falling rain,
Listen to it fall,
And with every drop of rain,
I can hear you call,
Call my name right out loud,
I can here above the clouds
And I'm here among the puddles,
You and I together huddle.

Listen to the falling rain,
Listen to it fall.

It's raining,
It's pouring,
The old man is snoring,
Went to bad
And bumped his head,
He couldn't get up in the morning,

Listen to the falling rain,
listen to the rain
