So, if i were to pick 10 best articles i've wrote in my life, which would they be? (not counting multi-page series of articles, projects, or software.)
In no particular order:
Geometry: Requirements for a Visualization System for 2020
I consider this article significant because it summarized the most important ingredients for 3D visualization software system for the next decade. I have not seen any such summary explicitly.
This i consider significant because it presents a synthesis of: (1) the idea of a art form that are mathematical in essennce. (2) the idea, and definition, of algorithmically generating such art form.
What are OOP's Jargons and Complexities
This is significant in that it explicitly explains the object oriented programing in terms of functional programing model. I have not seen such opinion anywhere. In my own opinion, i consider this the best article on explaining the concepts of OOP anywhere i've seen, from off the shelf books, to academic computing journals.
Responsible Software Licensing
This essay gives a reason of why software are poor quality, and proposes a movement that can remedy the situation.
