basically, u no need it.
it was developed, in western society of western languages, mostly due to various printing tech. eg from etching in stone, to manual copywrite, to printing.
evolved into cap case and lower case.
and, in programing lang, of past 3 years, i started to think, case-insensitive is better. e.g. powershell, common lisp.
