• Lol. I dunno that much about that topic, others than just american ignorant obsession about it, either extreme anti or pro.
• There r many aspects.
• e.g. academic.
• Which then is just philosophy, economics, and theory.
• Few really understand, and is boring.

• then the practical aspect, eg american's view.
• which is mostly just drama and chant.
• the comm haters are the typical white american, because xtianity, they consider comm as enemy, due to cold war, russia china.
• then, there's pro comm, esp since 2016 sjw, they, are kinda just rebels against mainstream, and hang capitalism hatred in their mouths. this is seeded by the top corrupt us leaders to shutup the white american christians, the pillar of usa.

• The essence of the idea of communism, is just share and love and care.
• Human animals should share everything, for a glorious human animal state.
• Which is what free software foundation and open source latched onto.

• Like i've expressed before, am not too big into isms.
• But in pol, my focus and judgement is usually on concrete law and order.

What is Communism, and USA Left-Wing Politics

In USA politics, a lot anti war faction (i am), or on left or democ party, are pro communism, socialism, or are accused of.

I think they are wrong. Am not pro communism. Am pro freed trade or capitalism.

The bad state in USA today, is not result of capitalism, it just corruption and power struggle at top. More specifically, it's due to the war machine aka military complex.

Do not fall into abstract philosophy for politics. Because, in that realm, you can argue for anything, and create mob movements.

The essential force of communism is care and share, a moral based take. A kinda utopia vision. Sharing and caring is fundamentally incompatible with human nature. Human animals are not about care and share. We as biological creatures, follows biological law, which is about promoting self, aka egoism.

Also, China switched to capitalism since Deng Xiao Ping in 1978. After Mao's death. That is why china is so prosperous today.

They call it “socialism with Chinese characteristics”, it's just a euphorism for capitalism.
