i usually like serious stuff, so don't like meme accounts or joke-attacks or emotion-drum (e.g. bludy vids, lurid photos, cute animals).
https://twitter.com/ggreenwald covers mostly usa internal pol corruption. often, his vids give a comprehensive account of some confusing news, such as jan 6.
Elon Musk. I think is a great hero of America in this century. since last oct, i read every of his replies, as daily routine, at https://twitter.com/elonmusk/with_replies you can get a feel of what's going on in usa.
https://twitter.com/shellenberger and https://twitter.com/lhfang , two of the great investigating writers of the twitter files. They cover usa corruption, usually domestic issues. each post is worthy of study.
https://twitter.com/CarlZha expert of modern chinese history. his post is misc things about china. Best is to listen him talk on current china vs usa issues. he's been featured in foxnews and other media and show regularly. If you are the rightwing type and wanna see diff news, Carl is for u.
ok, just these for now. Enough for an hour of study per day. there are a lot great accounts, but twitter is endless anger and stories, you are inundated and became numb. Better to focus on just a few.

He covers usa gov corruption but also the more risky war issues. He does not post nonsense. - This is very serious stuff. when u get big, u dissapear.

- i have not spend that much time on Max's posts. but basically, this issue, takes months reading to understand.
- in Max posts, there is no memes or cheapshots. Each post is detailed with politican or bigshot's names etc that you mostly never heard of (not, biden this or trump that).

the above are usually biased agaist usa. why not some recommendation that's pro usa? well, you can read nyt, washington post, the atlantic, for that. (i judge them to be fakenews)
by the way, also want to mention CCTV中文国际 https://www.youtube.com/user/cctvch section 今日关注. this is in chinese only. about 24 minute analysis each weekday. been watching over a year now. and turns out, this is actually the most unbiased, overall, top level, analysis. (i was expecting it to be badly pro-china.) though, chinese only, no transcript (so no auto-translate), and comment turned off. you'll have to use a voice translation tool if you really want to hear them.
