u see, these tv dramas, function as the base of brain formation in society
if u watch these china dramas, u note, confusionism or taosism thoughts, r deeply rooted in it, and into ur brain.
where, the tv shows, king is the king, women r just women, respect king, elders, order, filial duty, and slaves n maids r slaves.
just like, western tv drama brainwash u into obsession with justice, and indidividualism, and mind other's business, and date rape and pedo thoughts.
ur brain, is cultivated for all ur life, the moment u grow eyes n ears

originally, wife is watching it. so, i watched a bit to see what it is. and often, got dragged in and watched a lot. so far now, 31 episodes.
each is 40 min
because, they r rather addictive, as per tv drama. good guys, bad guys, cliff hanger and all.
since i have special eye, when i watch, i observe the content. the nature of the content.
and, i find it offensive, just as i do with western tv shit.
in it, u see, women, these wiwes n concubines etc, fighting, conniving, to gain emperor's favor
and the power struggle, schemes n plots among the various kings below the emperor
and the power structure, whole air, follows chinese cultural line, namely, obey authority, and parents, elder, etc.
and for example, it is china custome, to not just kneel, but proffer, 5 points touching floor, whenever u see emperor, and
u no use normal speech. eg to say i, me, u need to say me little useless slave, or me little useless consol, etc.
and this manner of speech, is estableshed for thousands of years.
in a similar way, think of western empires the past, how they address the king or pope or aristocrats, and associated language. but the chinese, is much more severe in conformity.

@Xah Lee I've heard Hollywood Studios say that when they work on movies about China esp where China is one intended audience that the Chinese government suggests they don't reference an specific time period in the movie. I guess this is so it is not construed to be a statement or opinion on specific points of Chinese history.
