These messages are posted through groups.google.com and are
cross-posted to: comp.lang.perl.misc, comp.lang.python,
comp.lang.java.programmer, comp.lang.lisp, comp.lang.functional.

I do not think one can say they are off topic, nor “excessive
cross-posting”.

If we give a rating to a message's off-topicality, say from 1 to 10,
with 10 being the most off-topic. And, we give a rating to all posted
messages by a person, and do this for all who ever posted. One can get
a average off-topic-ness of a person. I would say, i'd probably be
rated 1. And many others, including regulars, who never make troubles,
would probably be rated 5 or 6 or more.

Have you not received many emails supporting me? In particular, that
my posting are not off-topic?

If you do not find this decision is right, you can still change it.

Sure, i can switch my web hoster without much trouble, but that is not
the issue. If you get punched by a bully, just a temp bleeding nose
and you are graduating high school next month anyway, but would you
let it slide? It is a personal choice.

You are not disabling me outright because you are legally bound to do
that if you want go to by the clause “cancel account without any
reason... with 30 days notice”. If you kick my account outright, then
you have to have to prove that I violate your policy in some solid
way, and i can.

It was explained to you that such excessive, off-topic cross-posting
would not be allowed. You were told on April 28th that if you continued
with such activities, your account would be in jeopardy. You knew that it
would not be tolerated any further, but still proceeded to continue
posting as you had been.

In any case, I'm afraid that there really isn't much more that can be of
value in further discussing this matter. You asked for the issue to be
passed along to my supervisor, and he agreed that this was handled in a
manner consistent with our policies. We are not disabling you outright,
and you will be provided with a refund for the unused portion of your
hosting payments. Your only loss will be the inconvenience of having to
find a new host.

I wish you luck in your future ventures, but I am afraid that there is
nothing else that can be done.
