if a couple is engaged, the man is called “fiance”, what the woman is called?
It is a wonder, why the word fiancé is all around while the fiancée is never heard?
It is not a wonder, because finding a mate is far more important in a female's life than a male's life, of human animals. That is why, when one actually has a mate, it is the females who brag about it all the time. You hear them talking about or mention boyfriend, fiancé, husband all the time. In a sense, having a good mate defines success for females. As to males, the analogous need is power.
Both sexes really just want procreation and offspring as their ultimate goal. But due to biological differences — primarily that it is females who bear children — the social outcome is that females need prettiness, while men need power, to obtain the same goal of multiplication.
